Now to get to the current day, all we need to do is apply the chronological years using the Gregorian Calendar. Because we have stepped over the BC mark going into Christ’s ministry, all we need to do is go back to the year of the decree of Artaxerxes (457BC) to get the endpoint of the BC era (keeping in mind that zero BC is not when Christ was born but rather He was born sometime in Herod’s rule which is about 4 BC, but it was too late to change the calendar when this was discovered as it was already in mass circulation).
3491.5 + 457 + 1 = 3949.5 (1 for the move to A.D.)
By rule of the Gregorian Calendar, by the year 1 A.D., it had already been 3949.5 years since the creation of the first man, Adam, in year 0! Amazing revelation from the Bible.

Earth, Through the Years.
From there it’s pretty easy to calculate the final number. At the writing of this article, we are in the beginning of the Gregorian year 2025.
3949.5 + 2025 = 5974.5
At the time of writing this article:
We are approximately
Does that mean we have a maximum of roughly 25 years left?
I think that's a brilliant question. No one knows the day or the hour but God. He said we would know by the signs. Think of this more as a generalised timeframe. It's important to remember that some days, months, years are longer than others. I would say the margin is roughly +/- 5 years. Thanks for the question!
