The second important factor is found in verse nine! Gal. 4: 9 reads: "But now, after that you have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire to again to be in bondage"? Now this is very important! Paul is asking, why would those Gentiles want to go back and engage in those pagan rituals and practices which they once engaged in, during that time in which they knew not the true God?

The third and final important factor is found in verse ten. Gal. 4: 10 reads: "Ye observe days, and months and times (seasons) and years. There you have it! It is obvious that Paul was not talking about the Ten Commandments because, except for the fourth commandment, which speaks of the Sabbath day, the Ten Commandments has nothing to do with "days, and months, and times, and years. Neither could he (Paul) have been speaking about the annual sabbaths and feast days of Leviticus chapter twenty-three (Lev. 23:) as commanded by God, because just as Christ did, Paul kept those feast days and even taught the Gentiles to keep them (1Cor.11: 1-2, 20-21,23. Acts 18:1, 4 1 Cor. 5:7).

There is no scriptural basis to the claim made by those who would have us believe that God's laws were made for the Jews or for Israel. Abraham, who is called the "father of them that have the faith of Abraham" (Rom. 4: 16), kept God's laws and commandments, as we read earlier in Gen. 26: 5. You would remember, that this was four hundred and thirty years before there was a nation call Israel.

In Heb. 11: 8 we read: "By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither [where] he went". Yes folks, faith means obeying God and His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ said: "If you love me keep my commandments (John 14: 15). If we believe that Christ is the Son of God, then faith requires that we act in obedience!

James 2: 20, 22 says: "But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father (father of those who have faith) justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect(complete)". Then in verse twenty-six (James 2: 26) we read: "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also". I say again, faith requires that one must act on what you believe! If you believe that Christ is God, then faith requires that you obey Him! KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS!
