Without Natural Affection

Every man has a “spirit of man” in him. It (the spirit of man) is the spirit through which God inspires him and imparts physical knowledge to him (Job 32:8; Zechariah 12:1). To acquire spiritual knowledge, however, man needs another spirit - the Holy Spirit.
It is easy to be misled into thinking that the new covenant is for Israel. Yet we read in God’s Holy Scripture in the book of Romans (Romans 2:14-15): “For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these (the Gentiles) having not the law, are a law unto themselves: which shew (show) the work of the law written in their hearts …”.
This scripture confirms that fact: that when you see the Gentiles do naturally the things contained in the law, it is because God’s Holy Spirit is in that individual, resulting in the law of God being written in his heart! This prophecy has been fulfilled in part in that God’s Holy Spirit is now given to those called out to be “first fruits”.
We read in Romans 8:22-23: “For we know that the whole creation (the heavenly bodies being now in a state of decay – verse 21) groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the first fruits of the Spirit …”. The Holy Spirit is right now given only to those who are called to be first fruits. In Romans 8:9 we see: “But ye are not in the flesh [carnal minded - verse seven] but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ [God], he is none of his”. It is widely taught that the apostle Paul teaches that the law of God is “done away with”, yet Paul says in Romans 2:13: “For not the hearers of the law are justified before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified”.
We read in 1 Corinthians 1:19-20: “For it is written, I (God) will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?”
In 1 Corinthians 2:10-14 we read: “But God hath revealed them (the things God hath prepared for them that love Him/spiritual knowledge) unto us by His Spirit; for the Spirit [of God] searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man (physical knowledge), save (except) the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God (spiritual knowledge) knoweth no man, but (except) the Spirit of God. Now we (the truly converted) have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God (Spirit of God); that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God (spiritual knowledge). Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost (Spirit) teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God (spiritual knowledge): for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned”.
The Bible makes it clear that the natural man - one who is without the Spirit of God - receiveth not spiritual knowledge, and that spiritual knowledge is in fact foolishness to him: It is no wonder that scientists do not believe anything if it cannot be weighed or tested in a test tube!
The Bible tells us: “But there is a spirit in man [spirit of man], and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them (man) understanding” (Job 32:8). In Zechariah 12:1 we read: “The burden of the word of the Lord for Israel, saith the Lord, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him”.
