Indeed, all the Holy Scriptures are coded and not meant to be understood by most (Isaiah 6: 8-10, Mark 4: 10-12, Mat. 11: 25). The Kingdom of God is a mystery which is hidden from most.

Why do we find so much hostility toward God's law? In Romans 8: 6 -- 7 we read: "For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be."

Yes folks, the carnally minded person -- the person who does not have the Holy Spirit of God- simply is unable to keep God's laws. The carnal mind is focused on the desires of the flesh (Rom. 8: 5).

Again, we read in Romans 7: 14: "For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am carnal, sold under sin." The law of God is a spiritual law and so we need a spiritual element - God's Holy Spirit - to enable us to keep it. The law is all about attitudes- how to get along with God and with man- and does not entail any physical work such as building of cars.

In Romans 5: 5 we read: "And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given unto us." The law of God is the love of God. The law of God is how we express the love of God, and this is why Christ Himself said: "I f you love me, keep my commandments" (John 14: 15). Let me say again: the law of God (Ten Commandments) is the expression of love toward God and love toward men. It is the expression of the love of God!

In Romans 13: 8 -- 10 we read: "Owe no man anything, but (except) to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this, thou shalt not commit adultery, thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not bear false witness, thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended (understood) in this saying, namely, thou shalt love thy neighbor as thy self. Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law".

Did you get that? Romans 13: 8-10 tell us that when we love one another we are fulfilling the law of God! Paul then quotes five of the Ten Commandments, then goes on to say: "and if there be any other commandment" (verse nine), referring to the other five commandments which he did not bother to mention here, "it (including those which he did not mention) is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, thou shall love thy neighbor as thy self". There it is: "Love is the fulfillment of the law." If you love your neighbor, you will not steal from him, kill him or covet his wife etc.!
